Newfoundland Puppies

At The RedBrick Farm Our puppies will be raised with puppy culture, Vallard aptitude tested (temperament tested), vet checked with UTD vaccines and dewormer appropriate for their age. They are exposed to kids, chickens, ducks, cattle, goats, bunnies, and cats. Some specialized training is available. They will come with a puppy package of the essentials for their first couple weeks. Which includes their own collar, food, a toy, a blanket rubbed down with mommas scent, sample vitamin supplement and puppy passport (vaccine record). They will also be started on basic commands sit, down, come, kennel as well as beginning leash training. We start training at 5 weeks of age and all our puppies go home knowing sit and starting down. 

About the Breed

The Newfoundland is a strikingly large, powerful working dog but also the most gentle of the large breeds. The sweet-tempered Newfie is a famously good companion and has earned a reputation as a patient and watchful 'nanny dog' for kids. A male Newfoundland typically weigh 120-140 pounds and females typically go 100 to 120 pounds. The Newfie breed standard says that a sweet temperament is the "most important single characteristic of the breed." The Newf's sterling character is expressed in their affinity for kids. Trusting and trainable, Newfs respond well to gentle guidance. These noble giants are among the world's biggest dogs, and acquiring a pet that could outweigh you comes with obvious challenges. Training from an early age is a must. Just like any other large breed. They are very eager to please! If you’ve thought about a Great Pyrenees and wondered about the down sides to the breed— barking, wandering, digging, jumping  a Newfoundland is a great choice!

This is our Chocolate Collection! Penny had 8 beautiful puppies! Both parents are genetic tested clear, around 115-130lbs, vet checked healthy, AKC registered, but unfortunately we didn’t know before our Newfoundland Penny was bred they did not have full registration for the stud Charlie and so the puppies cannot be registered with the AKC even though we have full breeding rights to the momma Penny, but we will register with CKC. The lineage of both parents is AKC registered dogs and the genetic testing is proof they are purebred. Penny is the chillest dog of all time! She’s extremely sweet and docile. Fantastic with kids and animals of all kinds. She is a dry mouth Newfoundland (non drooling) the sire Charlie is not a dry mouth so we expect both in this litter. The droopier puppies are more likely to drool. Although Charlie is not an excessive drooler like some. Charlie is more active then Penny and we expect a good mix between. He’s a goofy boy and loves his family. He is also great on his family’s homestead. It’s amazing how much they love to stick around home (no wandering!) feel free to ask other questions!
